Call of Cthulhu is a first person horror game with RPG elements, which is about a private Investigator Edward Pierce, who is sent to investigate the death of the Hawkins family in their imposing mansion on the isolated Darkwater Island, off the shores of Boston. Between unfriendly locals and dubious police reports, it becomes clear there’s more to the case than meets the eye. Soon enough, Pierce is plunged into a terrifying world of conspiracies, cultists, and cosmic horrors.
One of the most interesting part of Call of Cthulhu is that there will be multiple endings depends on how you play it, there here is a video about all the endings in the game.
The True Ending
If you are looking for a happy ending or an true ending in Call of Cthulhu, well there is a bad new for you. In the game, there is no true ending nor a happy ending, how you play the game decided your ending, but there is also a good news, if you really want a happy ending.
Lovecraft himself wrote The Dunwich Horror, a mythos story where the investigators have an overwhelming victory. They realize what is going on, try (and fail) to stop the summoning, and defeat the giant invisible monster once it has been set loose. Not only is this a victory, but the heroes don’t lose anything.
