How to Fix Controller Showing Wrong Input Issue
If you are like many of us that use a controller you might have realized problems whilst playing.
For example, sometimes three buttons with different functions are all using the A button.
Also in-game it might say “Press A to flip the page” but the A button does nothing because it’s actually the Y button you must press…
Well, don’t worry here’s how you fix this issue…
THE SOLUTION: Part 1➊ Open Steam and click steam in the top left of your application
➋ When the drop down opens click settings to go into Steam Settings
➌ On the left side of the menu, click the Controller section
➍ Press the button that says (General Controller Settings)
➎ When in the new menu select every controller option to avoid conflicts
( A Computer Restart may be required )
THE SOLUTION: Part 2➊ Open Steam and find Guardians of the Galaxy in your Library.
➋ Right click on the game and select Properties
➌ On the left side of the menu, you’ll see the Controller section
➍ Change the setting from (Use default settings) to (Enable Steam Input)
➎ Play the game and test it out.
This should fix the problem for ALL controllers not just Xbox Controllers, The Enable Steam Input option auto detects whichever controller you are currently using and will transfer that information into the game
