No Time to Relax: 100% Achievements Guide

Guide to all achievements for No Time To Relax, in English.

Introduction and Notes

This is my first guide, so it may be rough. Please let me know if there’s anything I’ve missed.

NOTES FOR THE GAME:
– A marathon game ends when one player has maxed out their: money, health, education, and happiness. The bars which form a circle around your character’s picture will fill up as you increase these stats, and will turn orange when they are full.

– Your clothes will wear out over time. You’ll be informed the week before they wear out. If you don’t purchase new clothes the week you recieve the card, the following week you will turn up “naked”.
While you are naked you can buy things and access the bank, but you cannot earn any money or recieve an education.
Don’t worry though, if you are unable to purchase clothes that week, every subsequent week during which you are naked, you will recieve money for clothes from a concerned family member.

– The education tree consists of:

  • Junior College
  • Grad School
  • Path 1) Engineering Bachelor
  • Path 1) Engineering Master
  • Path 2) Business Bachelor
  • Path 2) Business Master
  • PHD
  • Post Doctoral
  • Research
  • Publishing

Incidental Achievements

You will probably get these achievements through normal gameplay.

Walked 500 miles! -Walk a total of 500 miles.
You should get this through normal play.
As your character moves around town, the game will keep count. Please note that the character does NOT need to move around on foot. I recieved this achievement while using a car.

No Time to Relax -Play a total of 8 hours
It’s not really clear how to get this one to pop. Many players have reported playing for more than 10 hours without getting this achievement.

Work Experience Achievements:
You earn work experience every time that you work. These achievements seem to track your experience across all playthroughs, so grinding should not be needed.

To get a job, head to the Job Agency and select a job which is available.
Then head to the building your job is located in, and select “work”.

Hard Knock Life -Finish a Long game.
A long game ends after 30 turns.

42.195 km -Finish a Marathon game.
A marathon game ends when one player has maxed out their: money, health, education, and happiness. The bars which form a circle around your character’s picture will fill up as you increase these stats, and will turn orange when they are full.

I’m Quite a Big Deal Online, ‘ya Know -Win an online multiplayer game.
Online games are accessed from the first menu. You may need to find another person who has this game, as the online lobbies are not very busy.

Win Conditions

If you are having trouble winning, try playing a two player game and having both characters do the same thing, thus ensuring that whichever wins the game will satisfy the conditions for the achievement.

Fashioning the Birthday Suit -Win a game butt naked.
When you are winning and near the end of the game, allow your clothes to wear out until you are “naked”.
Note: when you are naked you cannot work or study.
So if you are playing a marathon game, be sure to max out your money and education before becoming naked. Then simply max out your health/happiness in order to end the game.

Big Boss Pants -Win a game as a CEO.
To become CEO of VexCorp you will need an education and 6400 work experience.
You gain work experience by working at any job.
You can achieve the education by heading to the University and enrolling in courses. You will need to reach and complete “Research” for this job.

Someone has to do it -Win a game as a janitor
Become a janitor by heading to the Job Office and selecting “Janitor” at any location.
You only need to be a janitor at the end of the game, so in theory you could take a higher paying job and switch to janitor when the game is about to end.

Welcome to Indiana -Win a game without going to the gym or culture center.
Simply do not visit the Gym or Culture Centre, and then win the game.
Note: this will make it difficult to win a marathon game, as you must max out all four stats to end the marathon game. You can increase your health by purchasing anything that has a red heart appear next to it when you hover over it. Such as cleansing food from the Market.

Mattress Money -Win a game without depositing money into the Bank
Simply do not deposit any money into the bank.
This can make things difficult as any money not deposited can be stolen at random.

Intense Hunger Games -Win a long game without eating once.
Start a long game, do not eat at all during it, and make sure that you win. Your character will not die, but you will recieve a time penalty (you will have less time during your turns).

Best of Every Life -Win a game with each character.
There are 6 possible characters to play as, and you must win as each of them.
Any game type will work.
If you are having trouble with this, you can play well as the character that you want to win, while having the other character do nothing (or just “relax”) repeatedly every turn.

You’re Terminated, F***** -Beat the CPU in all game modes.
You must win against a CPU in all four game modes – Short, Medium, Long, and Marathon.

Student Life -Have $0 in your wallet after enrolling in any university course.
Head to the University to enrol in a course. For this achievement you must either have exactly the amount that the course costs, OR you must have purchased a cell phone from VexCorp (as this allows you to buy things directly from your bank funds). Enrol in the course, ensuring that you will have $0 left in your wallet after doing so.

Free Willy -Relax while naked with max happiness.
Allow your clothes to wear out until you are “naked”. Select your apartment and click “relax”, while at full happiness.

Select Pork-Butts.

Head to the University.
During one game, begin and finish every course in education up until Research.
Please note, that you can skip either Engineering or Business, you only need to take one branch to reach the end, but you can also study the other branch at any time if you wish. It is not required for the achievement though.

Never Got Time to Relax -Reach stress level 40.
Your stress level goes up when you have bad things happen, and when you don’t “relax”.
To improve your chances of this one, stay in the cheap accommodation, don’t eat, don’t pay your rent, and don’t click “relax” in your apartment.

These are the achievements which require a lot of repetition.
These achievements can be achieved regardless of whether you are playing alone or against another player/CPU.

Head to the University and spend at least half of your time studying for a course. Repeat this the following week. Any courses are fine for this, and doing more than one course is fine. Be aware that each course requires money to enrol in, and that you can only attend classes if you are wearing clothes.

You Never Walk Alone -See a soccer match 6 times in a long game.
Start a LONG GAME.
Head to the Culture Centre and select “Soccer Tickets”.
Do this at least 6 times during the game. You can only purchase one ticket per turn, these do not have to be consecutive turns.

True Hiker -Hike a mountain 20 times in a Marathon game.
Head to the Culture Centre and purchase tickets for a mountain hike, at least 20 times during a marathon game. You can only purchase one ticket per turn, these do not have to be consecutive turns.

I’m a Saver -Store a total of $99.999 in the Bank.
Simply keep depositing money into your bank until it reaches $99,999. The bank does appear to give you interest, as this popped for me at the start of a turn.
This is NOT cumulative across all playthroughs, you must achieve a balance of $99,999 in one game. The easiest way to do this is to play a marathon game and hold off on ending the game until the achievement pops.

Head to the Job Office and select a job as a janitor at any location.
Have this job for 101 weeks or more, across all playthroughs.

Game-span Achievements

These are achievements which require you to do certain things throughout an entire game.
These achievements can be achieved regardless of whether you are playing alone or against another player/CPU.

It’s Not an Addiction, I Can Stop if I Want -Buy a Lottery Ticket every week in a game.
Head to the Market and purchase at least one lottery ticket each week/turn, for the entire length of the game.

Hey Friend -Visit the girl in the Culture center every week in a game.
Head to the Culture Centre every week in a game. You only have to click on the building, you do not need to purchase any tickets for this achievement. (Purchasing tickets should not invalidate the achievement though.)

It’s My Parents Money -Always pay your rent on time in a game.
Every few weeks you will recieve a card which tells you that rent is due. Make sure that you head to the bank and pay the rent immediately, each time it comes up.

Freedom Fries -Eat only fries in one game.
Head to Cluckers and purchase fries at least once. Be sure not to eat ANYTHING other than fries for the duration of one game. I did this in a marathon game, paired with the “Cluckers is life, Cluckers is love” achievement.

Cluckers is Life, Cluckers is Love -Eat a Cluckers meal on every turn in a marathon game.
Start a MARATHON GAME.
Head to Cluckers and purchase at least one food item each week/turn, for the entire length of the marathon game.

Ready for Winter -Never go below 2 weeks worth of food in your fridge in a long game.
Start a LONG GAME.
The game will start tracking from the same turn that you purchase your fridge, so it is ok to hold off on purchasing a fridge until you are financially stable.
Do not purchase a fridge until you have enough money to also purchase 4 weeks of groceries at the same time. You will eat 1 week’s worth of food at the end of each turn, so you for this achievement you cannot allow your fridge to have less than 3 week’s of groceries at the END of each turn.
You can see how many weeks of food your fridge contains, by looking at the number on the side of the fridge, or by clicking on your character’s picture and looking at the number next to “Fridge”

Lots of Time to Relax -Your stress level must be 1 or lower for a whole Marathon game.
Start a MARATHON GAME.
This one can be a bit tricky. You start at stress level 0, and must avoid all stress as well as making time to relax, for the entirety of a marathon game. You do not need to win this game, you only need to make it to the end without having your stress rise above 1.

A marathon game ends when one player has maxed out their: money, health, education, and happiness. The bars which form a circle around your character’s picture will fill up as you increase these stats, and will turn orange when they are full.

4. Head to the Culture Centre. Buy Concert Tickets. Repeatedly click on “Concert Tickets”, even though they are greyed out.
5. Head to Cluckers. It’s unclear if this is to do with the number you purchase overall, or the speed that you click on it with. I bought one of everything at Cluckers and then speed clicked on the clucker burger.

Why? Why Did You Do This?
Hint 1: Look for a small person on the map.
Hint 2: Near the University.
Hint 3: Clicking him looks like fun, doesn’t it?
Hint 4: Why not click him again?
