Resort Boss: Golf – All Achievements Guide

This game currently has one bugged achievement, and is impossible to 100%. The devs have said they’re looking into it though (as of July 22, 2020), so hopefully it’s fixed soon.

Easy Achievements

Golfer Maker = Create a Custom Golfer.
In the main menu, just click the button to create a golfer.

First Day =Hire a Worker
When playing, the bottom UI button panel has a thing that looks like a few little people. Click that, and on the bottom there’s a button to hire them. Choose someone, and hire them.

Hundred Holes = Play Golf in 100 Holes.
On the bottom UI panel, click the holes button, click a hole you’ve made, and click the play button in the window that comes up.
TIP = You do not have to complete the hole, just shoot, then retire, and repeat. That’s how I did it.

Fine Financials = Keep your resort running for 5 years.
Just set up a decent resort that makes money. Lease it open, and you can just walk away and do something else for a while.

Land Shaper = Landscape 1000 Tiles.
Use the landscape function, and just change the landscape by a large area, and just keep changing it in small increments. Comes naturally, I didn’t even have to go for it.

Green Thumb = Place 1000 Trees.
Wait until you have a lot of money, then just spam the tree button. Easy way to tell how many you’ve done, is to see how much money it costs. A tree is 150, so you need to have your total money spent when you click the checkmark button be 150,000, that way you know you’ve made a thousand.
NOTE: For this to work, the employee actually has to plant the tree. Basically, making the tree is just saying you want a tree there, so it doesn’t count until the employee has planted them.
Dream Jobs = Hire 100 Employees.

Holes for Everyone = Create 100 Holes.
Just annoyingly grindy. Don’t bother actually going for this, because when going for the hard achievements, you’re going to need a resort with tons of holes anyways. You’ll likely get this without trying.

Pre-Fabulous = Build a building from a saved design.
From the main menu you can go into the building creator. Make something, then save it. When in game, choose the building tab, then new building, then “Prefabs”, and choose the building you made.
NOTE: Make sure you design a building that you have unlocked. If you create a spa, but don’t have high prestige, you won’t have the option when choosing a prefab.

School of Golf = Finish the tutorial of the game.
Easy as it sounds, just go through all the steps of the tutorial.

Bogey Wogey = Achieve a Quadruple Bogey
Click the holes button on the bottom UI button panel, then choose a hole, then in the new window that pops up, click “play”. Just keep missing until you’ve got way over par, then sink it (or I think you can even just retire, that’s how mine popped).

My Resort, My Rules = Create a Custom Scenario.
From the main menu create a scenario. Make sure you actually go through and finish it. I thought I was done, but then there were more things I needed to do.

Proper Course = Create a Course with 18 Holes
Make 18 holes, then in the course creator (bottom UI button panel, the button looks like a few holes), in the window for which holes go to the course, select all 18 holes.
NOTE: Each hole can only be in one course.

Faulty Towers = Create a 10 Story Hotel.
When creating a hotel, make sure you create every story available. Technically floor 0 is the first, and floor 10 is the eleventh (which is super dumb, what places have a floor zero?). I’m not sure if it actually requires the eleventh floor, but when making mine, I did have 11, and the achievement popped.
NOTE: The builder actually has to finish building it in order for it to give you the achievement.

Insurance Nightmare = Crash a Golf Cart.
Once you have a golf cart building, you have to click the golf cart button in the bottom UI button panel. You can then purchase any golf cart (the first/cheapest one goes the fastest). Then, just drive it really fast into a building.

Take Off! = Launch your cart off a hill.
Same as the previous, except instead of going fast into a building, go fast off a ramp you make. I found if you make it too steep, the cart can’t make it up. Make sure you only make a hill that’s like 3 or so high, and make it not flat on top. I did this, and wasn’t really even sure if I got airborne, but I got the achievement with this method.

There was an Attempt = Go bankrupt.
The game checks for this when the month switches, so if you are $200,000 in the negative on the first of the month, you will get this. Just spend tons of money, and you should be fine.

Super Golfer Maker = Create 50 Custom Golfers
Just sit there, making golfer after golfer. Make sure you choose to make a golfer, rather than a boss or something (that could possibly trip you up). The name, age, and location don’t matter. I had people that were 545 years old and were named FDSA. It doesn’t matter. So annoyingly grindy… How can a dev think this is a good idea?

A Disgruntled Guest = Fail a VIP Visit
In the top right is the mail button. You will get VIP requests. This is actually the easiest achievement in the game to get, because the game is broken, and you literally CANNOT pass certain VIP requests, thus guaranteeing you the win! (It always says 0 prestige hotel, which is dumb, because it’s not ranked by prestige, but by stars, and I’ve had them say 0 prestige when I had multiple 6 star hotels)

Life… Finds a Way = Have an Alligator go too hungry.
The most useless part of the game is the animals. In the bottom UI button panel, there’s a paw print. Click on that, and choose to buy an alligator. I actually don’t think the devs bothered coding in anything to interact with the animals (I could be wrong), so they’ll all just die anyways. Your alligator will get hungry after a while, and you’re achievement will pop.

Zoo Boss: Golf = Have over 40 Animals on your Resort.
Same as above, but just keep buying them. You will run out of animals to buy, but the list fills back up now and then, so just wait a month and buy some more.

1000 Yard Par = Create a Hole with at least 1000 yards from the Tee to the Pin.
It’s quite a distance, but incredibly easy to do. Just create the tee on one end of the map, and make the hole on the other end of the map, and click the big checkmark button. It’s hard to see the UI saying how long the distance is. If you’re having trouble, drag the hole to half ways, and if it’s under 500, then you know it’s not going to be long enough, and you need to buy more land.

Golf Playing Achievements

Hole in One = Achieve a Hole in One in a Par 3 or better hole.
Rock, Flag, and Eagle = Achieve 10 Eagles
Par for the Course = Achieve Par 40 times
All three of these achievements use the same method. Your holes do NOT take into account how pathetically easy you make it. You can make the tee and the hole right next to each other. You can even make all the ground slope into the hole by have the green be a 2×2, and have the hole right in the centre where all four tiles meet, then, drag that middle corner of the terrain down like 4 units. This way, you can choose any club, just click fast so you get no power or aim, and it will go on the green, and then roll into the hole, for an easy hole in one.
Also, you can manually set the par of the hole, so that it will be where you need it. If you set the par to 1, you will get par when you get a hole in 1. If you need to get an eagle, just set the par to 4, miss the green with your first shot, and get it in your sinkhole green on your second shot, thus getting an eagle.

Fore! = Hit another golfer with your ball.
Currently bugged, so it’s impossible to get. For when it’s available, the easiest way to do this is create a hole with the tee right near where the people spawn. Make that hole a course (just the single hole is fine). Start a tournament with that course/hole, with tons of people, and have you join it. When teeing off, you should have a swarm of people near you. Just fire into the crowd.

Tour Legend = Win 5 Tournaments / Tour Winner = Win a Tournament
There are tricks to make this easy for you.
1. Make a single hole, and make a course that is ONLY that hole.
2. Make a hole that’s difficult, but doable for the AI. For example, I made the green only one block, then surrounded it with water (normally you NEVER do that).
3. Select the course, and tell it to have it’s par set manually, then set higher, so you can easily get 2 under par.
4. Create a tournament for that course, which is only that hole, and set the members really low, even to just 1 is fine.
By doing this, you have a super easy time (let’s face it, it’s not hard to play golf in this), but the AI will struggle. It’s only one course and one member, so you can do it quickly, with little resistance. Even if you don’t win every time, it doesn’t take long. Do this five times, and you’re golden.
Q: How do I enter a tournament? A: When creating a tournament, there’s a little check box for you to join. Make sure you have it checked. After checking it the first time, it should automatically check it the next time, so watch that you don’t uncheck it.

Hard Achievements

A Complete Resort = Have every possible building in a resort.
Follow the tips in getting prestige, then build each building type. Once you unlock the spa, and you build everything, you get the achievement. In theory it’s easy, but it just takes a very long time for your prestige to build up to that level.

Everybody Loves Golf = Achieve Perfect Reputation.
This is the hardest achievement in the game. Follow the “Tips and Tricks” section for advice on how to actually do well in this game.
The reputation meter seems to fill up when you create holes, accomplish VIP quests, and I believe when you build buildings as well. Essentially, you want to build a lot of high quality buildings, and build all the holes you can, and turn them into good courses. To put it in perspective, my resort had about 85 holes, I had 20 million dollars, multiple 6 star buildings of every type, and about 140 people in my resort.
NOTE: As you get very large resorts, the game will seriously lag. I believe this is because of the AI handling so many golfers. There are many bugs that will trip up the AI, so sometimes you need to move a building project that got stuck, close and reopen a hole that got stuck, cancel a tournament that got stuck, etc. If all else fails, close your resort and reopen it, then save and exit, and reopen your game. That usually fixes all the issues so you can continue your game without lag.

Scenario Legend = Win 10 Scenarios.
The trick here is that you can win the same scenario 10 times, AND, you can just save right before winning, and then reload the save, and win again and again and again. Yes, it’s a cheesy way to win, but the game is not well made, so you’ll probably run into bugs that ruin your run, and the ways to win end up being cheesy anyways.
The first scenario is basically just have money, so follow the “Tips and Tricks” section on how to make money, or even just look directly below this for a few tips.

Midas Touch = Have a balance of $2,000,000
Midas Grasp = Have a balance of $10,000,000
More info in the “Tips and Tricks” section on how to make money.
Firstly, you can just set up your resort to be decent, and just walk away, and let the game idle. A lot of this game is actually just waiting for things to build up. If you leave it long enough, with a good resort, you will get that money.
Secondly, the real way to make money in this game is tournaments. Set up a tournament, have tons of people be in it (like 500), and set the price way high (like 10k), just have the winning pot be like 2x the admission price. Then let the tournament start in about 20 days or so, and you’ll make tons of money.

An Illustrious Resort = Reach Prestige Level 50
An Epic Resort = Reach Prestige Level 75
A Legendary Resort = Reach Prestige 100

Prestige is a hard thing to figure out. At times you’ll accomplish something, like a new big building, and your prestige will start shooting up super fast. Other times, there’s not really anything for you to do, so you have to just leave your resort idle for a long time, hoping prestige will go up. What worked for me, is have a lot of land, building all the holes you can, set them up into courses that are somewhat cheap, and have your holes be good (like 4-6 points on all three settings, see the “Tips and Tricks” section for how to build good holes). It does take quite a while to get 100 prestige. Honestly, I made a really good resort, and just left it idle for a very long time.

People Pleaser = Complete 50 VIP Requests
This is a rough one, simply because it takes forever. I’m not sure if it’s cumulative between games, or if you have to do it all with one resort. I had about four real resorts, and my playtime was about 50 hours at the time of getting this achievement. Just keep accepting all requests. Some of the quests are impossible to beat, because they’re bugged. For example, some will say they don’t like that there was no clubhouse or putting green, when you clearly have those. Other times, it will say they didn’t like staying in a 0 prestige hotel, which firstly makes no sense, and secondly, I’ve had multiple six star hotels when they said that. Just keep accepting quests, and you’ll eventually get this one.
NOTE: I do recommend NOT accepting the building requests. Firstly, it doesn’t count as a VIP quest, so it doesn’t help you here at all. Secondly, you don’t get that much money. Thirdly, you have to create a pathetically small structure to be able to do it in time, AND make sure you don’t have any building projects already. Fourthly, it’s bugged, so sometimes you will finish the building, and it will still say you failed (this happened to me). The problem is, if you fail it, the game punishes you by killing your population for a while.

True Resort Boss = Beat all the Resorts in the Campaign Mode.
This is worded in a really stupid way. Basically, you make a new campaign, and get enough money to buy all the stuff in the campaign window. I didn’t even enter the other resorts (not even sure if you can, mine bugged out). All you have to do is buy them all, which I believe costs around 10 million. If you need money, follow the instructions in the “Tips and Tricks” section for money making.
