This guide lists the key details for each chapter, such as the goal, number of squads, challenges and special events.

Chapter 1. Rebellion
Setting: outdoors
Deployment: fixed: MC and Zelos
Goal: Seize Eastwall Fortress
Duration: 11 turns
Events: Jules and Sybil arrive at the end of turn 2.

Chapter 2. For Whose Sake?
Setting: outdoors
Deployment: fixed: MC, Zelos, Jules, Sybil
Goal: Seize Centurion’s Rest
Duration: 11 turns
Events: Barnabas is recruited

Chapter 3. Crimson Star
Setting: outdoors
Deployment: fixed: MC, Zelos, Jules, Sybil, Barnabus
Goal: Seize Centurion’s Rest
Duration: 7 turns
Challenge: No Imperial squad lost
Events: Zelos departs at the end of the chapter (all his troops return
to the reserve). Jules, Sybil and Barnabus become temporarily unavailable.

Chapter 4. Paradigm Shift
Setting: dungeon
Deployment: fixed: Stefan
Goal: MC must escape prison
Duration: 11 turns
Events: Diana arrives turn 7

Chapter 5. Divine Hammer of the Donari
Setting: outdoors
Deployment: fixed: MC, Abigayle; total: 6
Goal: Seize Fort Naxos, defend Granheim Abbey
Duration: 13 turns
Events: Rescue the dragon child at central fort

Chapter 6. Journey to Lemelin
Setting: outdoors
Deployment: fixed: MC; total: 8
Goal: Defend Fort Naxos for 15 turns or destroy all enemy troops and seize Port Janos
Duration: 11 turns
Challenge: defeat Kuroda
Events: Sybil, Barnabus and Jules arrive on turn 2

Chapter 7. Tidereaver
Setting: at sea
Deployment: fixed: MC, Diana, Stefan; total: 9
Goal: Seize Tidereaver flagship
Duration: 11 turns
Challenge: Seize all Tidereaver ships

Chapter 8. Marooned
Setting: swamp
Deployment: fixed: MC, Diana; total: 10
Goal: MC reaches Lemelin Monastery
Duration: 13 turns
Events: Raskuja available for hire; enemy reinforcements turn 7 from east

Chapter 9. Sanctuary
Setting: outdoors
Deployment: fixed: MC; total: 12
Goal: defend Lemelin Monastery for 15 turns or seize Westerfield Fortress
Duration: 12 turns
Challenge: Lysander must not be defeated; no more than 4 Isanter squads defeated
Events: Lysander defects and Isanter reinforcements arrive turn 2.

Goal: Seize Trucea, defend Isanter Palace and Lemelin Fortress
Duration: 16 turns
Challenge: Seize Trucea in 12 turns

Chapter 11. Deadly Gambit
Setting: outdoors

Goal: Seize Fort Eureeka and defend Trucea
Duration: 16 turns
Events: Isanter forces retreat turn 4; Beatrix retreats turn 7
Achievement: defeat Beatrix

Chapter 12. Upheaval

Goal: Defend Fort Eureeka
Duration: 13 turns
Challenge: Survive Casimir’s army for 2,4,6 turns
Events: Casimir’s army arrives turn 8; at the end, MC, Lysander, Narima, Raskuja, and Sybil become temporarily unavailable; if you have more than 3 custom leaders you must choose 3, and the rest become temporarily unavailable
Achievement: Defeat Casmir’s army

Chapter 13. Conquest
Setting: outdoors
Deployment: fixed: Hand of Zanatos and three leaders
Goal: Seize Rimorgue and Stormrook
Duration: 21 turns

Chapter 14. Paladin, Undaunted
Setting: dungeon
Deployment: fixed: Diana, Jules, Abigayle, Stefan, Barnabus
Goal: Diana must reach the stairs to the dungeon
Duration: 9 turns

Chapter 15. Westerfield Escape
Setting: outdoors
Deployment: fixed: Diana, Jules, Abigayle, Stefan, Barnabus; total: 8
Goal: Diana must reach Centurion’s Rest; at least one child must survive
Duration: 9 turns

Chapter 16. Desperation
Setting: outdoors
Deployment: fixed: Diana; total: 9
Goal: Seize Imperial Sully Port, defend Diana Front Base
Duration: 9 turns

Chapter 17. Coaxing the Divine
Setting: dungeon

Goal: Diana must reach portal to Mount Ptolomea

Events: at the end, MC and your previous custom leaders become available (but not Lysander, Narima, Raskuja or Sybil)

Events: at the end, Jaromir joins

Chapter 19. Return to Eastwall

Goal: Defend Eastwall Fortress for 10 turns, or destroy all squads; Lysander must survive
Duration: 9 turns
Challenge: Narima, Raskuja, Sybil must survive

Chapter 20. Wild Card

Goal: MC must reach the Stone Gate
Duration: 11 turns
Challenge: avoid damage from ending turn on lava
Events: at the end, Beatrix joins

Chapter 21. Liberating Sandraka

Duration: 9 turns
Challenge: Azuros must not fall below 50% HP
Events: at the end, Azuros the dragon joins

Gaiden Quest C. No Mercy for the Merciful

Deployment: fixed: MC, Diana; total: 10
Goal: Destroy all Zanatus mages; Edelia must survive
Duration: 11 turns
Challenge: Do not kill any Sister of Mercy

Gaiden Quest D. Clockwork City
Setting: ship

Goal: Destroy all enemy squads or all enemy firearm squads retreat
Duration: 9 turns
Challenge: No enemy squads retreat
Reward: 12 units of pyrocite obtained during mission

Gaiden Quest E. Ishtar’s Lament

Goal: MC must reach the dungeon staircase

Reward: Balmung, sword

Chapter 22. Greywind Peak
Setting: snow

Chapter 23. Unwise Alliance
Setting: dungeon

Goal: Survive 6 turns or destroy all enemy squads

Chapter 24. Scorched Sands

Challenge: capture all 12 mines
Events: enemy reinforcements in the northwest at turn 5 and turn 10; at the end swordmaster General Ragavi joins

Goal: Seize Sayunaa, defend Fort Dakur
Duration: 11 turns
Events: before the next chapter the five side quests become unavailable

Chapter 26. Stormrook Looms
Setting: outdoors

Goal: Seize Rimorgue, defend Nephilim Army Base
Duration: 16 turns
Challenge: complete in 10 turns
Events: at turn 4, 31 (!!) enemy reinforcement units appear, goal changes to defend Rimorgue

Challenge: Destroy no more than 3 Imperial squads

Chapter 28. Downfall

Events: enemy reinforcements at turn 6, east and west

Chapter 29. Zenith of the World
